International Youth Voluntary Service – IJFD
What does IJFD mean?
- getting to know different countries, cultures and people
- working with people from different backgrounds
- being socially, ecologically and culturally active
- gaining intercultural and linguistic competences
Where is IJFD possible
Help and support is needed in following areas:
- centers for people with disabilities
- facilities for the elderly
- environmental institutions
- sociocultural institutions
- child and youth organizations
- immigrant services
Who can participate?
Women and men between 18 – 26 years old.
Why?
- gain social, intercultural and linguistic experiences abroad
- reorientation after uncompleted vocational training or an unfinished university degree
Professional supervision
- intercultural and linguistic preparation
- you will be supervised by pedagogues and other experts
- 25 training days within the framework of different seminars
General framework
- start date: september 1st every year
- period of service is generally 12 months
- at least 20 days of leave per year
Fees covered
- pocket money, food and accommodation allowance
- social security
- the participants have to find additional sponsors to finance our project
Recognition
- can be recognized as pre-internship for your vocational training or studies
- certificate of employment
